It is with the utmost regret that we inform you that the WTCS Abu Dhabi races have been cancelled.
As you can imagine, this decision has not been taken lightly, but it is the result of discussions between the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority of Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and World Triathlon after severe storms have been forecast to hit the region that have impacted the staging of the event.
TriathlonLive would like to apologise for not being able to bring you the season opener from the UAE as we would like. As we hope you can understand, these decisions have been made with the safety of all concerned in mind given the information available from the authorities in Abu Dhabi.
We cannot wait to bring you more racing in 2024 and thank you for your understanding give these unforeseeable circumstances.
