AVANÇONS ENSEMBLE DAILY: 2023 VINFAST IRONMAN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP RACE WEEK RECAP FOR SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 9
NICE, France (Sept. 9, 2023) – The 2023 VinFast IRONMAN® World Championship triathlon is one sleep away from the top male professionals and age-group athletes competing in Nice, France. For the first time in the event’s 40-plus year history, the 2023 VinFast IRONMAN World Championship triathlon will take place in two locations with the men’s field racing in the Côte d’Azur on Sunday, Sept. 10. The women’s field will line up in Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i on October 14. Below is a summary recapping highlights from today, schedule for race day, and links to resources to help you cover the event.

On the eve of race day, the worlds top male triathletes checked in their bikes and gear, putting the final touches on their race day preparations at the Quai des Etats-Unis.
Don’t miss all the action!: Body marking begins at 5 a.m. with racing getting underway at 6:50 a.m. when the professional men take to the water, followed by the age-group athletes at 7:00 a.m. Live race day coverage for professional men will air on Sunday, Sept. 10, from 5:00 a.m. CEST / 11:00 p.m. ET (Saturday, Sept. 9) on IRONMAN Now. Schedule of Events for Race Day, Sunday, Sept. 10, 2023
- 5:00am – 7:15am – Transition/Personal Need open at Quai des Etats-Unis
- 5:00am – Coverage will begin on IRONMAN Now
- 6:50am – Professional Men Race starts at Plage des Ponchettes
- 7:00am – Age Group Men Race starts at Plage des Ponchettes
- 10:00am – 6:00pm – VinFast IRONMAN® Official Store Open at Miroir d’eau
- Approx. 2:45pm – First finisher expected at the finish line
- Approx. 12:40am – Race Ends (17 hours after the last athlete enters the water)
